Undergraduate Education Centre, Manchester Royal Infirmary, Manchester

About

This intensive and highly interactive course aims to prepare surgical trainees for registrar (ST3 level) interviews and help them to secure a General Surgical National Training Number. This course will explain how the interview process works, how to create a well-structured portfolio, and will provide an insight into the stations encountered during the interview. There will be a number of small group and individual mock interview stations. In addition, candidates will have the opportunity to gain constructive individual feedback from experienced Consultants and Speciality Registrars who have recently gone through this process and obtained a training number. Structure and practice is the key to success, and this course will provide the delegate with a platform to develop the correct technique to perform well in the interview.
