Doctors Academy MRCS Part B Focus Sessions: Anatomy
31st August 2026 (0900-1300 hours)
Online Session Held via Zoom
Overview
The Anatomy Focus Session, which is part of the Doctors Academy MRCS Part B Focus Sessions, is an intensive online session that combines realistic mock OSCE stations and personalised feedback to strengthen the knowledge, clinical reasoning, and examination technique required for success in the anatomy component of the MRCS Part B examination.
The session focuses on how anatomical knowledge is assessed in the MRCS Part B. Through a series of realistic OSCE-style stations, candidates will interpret prosections, clinical photographs, radiological imaging, and applied surgical anatomy while developing clear, structured, and confident responses expected in the exam.
Delivered in a small-group format by experienced consultant surgeons and surgical educators, the workshop combines deliberate practice with immediate, personalised feedback. Candidates receive detailed guidance not only on anatomical knowledge but also on presentation, organisation of answers, clinical application, and examination technique.
The session is suitable for those preparing for a first attempt, as well as those preparing for a resit. It is designed to identify strengths, highlight areas that require further development, and improve overall readiness for the MRCS Part B.
