The ICSM Psychiatry Society’s Spring Conference: Mind Over Matter is a student-led event being held on Saturday 15th February 2020 in the Sir Alexander Fleming Building, Imperial College London.
The conference will include lectures from admirable speakers on a variety of topics surrounding Psychiatry in addition to two small-group sessions. The conference aims to give delegates the opportunity to share their views and enable them to communicate with experienced psychiatrists.
The ICSM Psychiatry Society will also be hosting an art and essay competition and a raffle. Lunch and refreshments will be provided and all attendees will be presented with a certificate of attendance.
ICSM Psychiatry Society is running an Art and Essay Competition for which submissions are welcome.
For the Art Competition, delegates are invited to submit artwork including a painting, music or sculpture based on the question: ‘What does the inside of your mind look like to you?’. All entries will be showcased during the conference and a winner will be chosen by a conference speaker. The winner will receive a prize and a certificate. Entrance to the competition is free. Artwork submissions must be received no later than Monday 10th February 2020 and should be submitted to the following link: https://bit.ly/37Tv3FY.
For the Essay Competition, delegates are invited to submit an essay based on the following title: 'Discuss the influence of technology and social media on mental health in the modern age.' A word limit of 3000 words (excluding references) applies. Applicants should use size 12 Arial font, which should be double spaced and submitted in Word/PDF format. Entries will be judged by a conference speaker and the winner will receive a prize and a certificate. Entrance to the competition is free, however, you must attend the conference. Essay submissions must be received no later than Saturday 1st February 2020 and should be submitted to LC3715@IC.AC.UK.
