Training Advanced International Medical Educators (TAIME) Course
13th March 2019 (Wednesday)
Conference Hall, House of Grains, Brewmaster, Amritsar, Punjab, India
About
This course aims to consolidate the medical professional's understanding of 'doctor-patient' communication and appreciate its significance, which will enable him/her to forge a compassionate and trustworthy relationship with patients in clinical practice. It is envisaged that the ability of the doctor to explain the diagnosis and management plan to the patient in a structured and comprehensive manner will help the patient's experience and enable him/her to deal with his/her health in a positive manner.
The course will reflect upon communicative strategies that will enable the medical professional to manage complex situations which occur in everyday practice. It will cover areas which often pose difficulties in communication within a clinical context, such as breaking bad news, answering delicate questions, delivering information, managing expectations, and dealing with difficult patients.
