About:

This one-day interactive course aims to enhance the attendee's knowledge and clinical skills related to vascular ultrasound pertinent to day-to-day clinical practice. The morning session will consist of interactive discussions, whilst the afternoon session will comprise of five practical stations during which the attendee will gain valuable hands-on experience in ultrasound techniques that will be applicable in a clinical setting.

The attendee will have the opportunity to practise ultrasound skills on patients (simulated or real),as well as to visualise the normal vascular anatomy.

The course will cover key topics in the ISCP curriculum, which include:
  • the ability to understand and perform basic vascular ultrasound.
  • the ability to understand the principles and limitations of vascular ultrasound imaging.
  • the ability to interpret vascular imaging.
  • the ability to assess and plan arterio-venous fistulas (AVFs)
