About

Exeter Surgical Society is proud to host the inaugural Exeter International Surgical Conference for medical students and foundation doctors. The conference will be held virtually. Two main stages will be made available to host a wide range of talks. Ten different surgical specialties will be covered, and delegates will also have the opportunity to experience several seminars. The sessions will be delivered by renowned speakers who are leading experts in their fields.

Aims and Objectives

  • To inspire medical students and junior doctors to pursue a career in surgery.
  • To provide medical students and junior doctors insights into a wide range of surgical specialties.
  • To provide opportunities for medical students to present research, enhance CVs and network.

Abstract Submission

Delegates are invited to submit abstracts for the poster competition.
Abstracts must adhere to the following criteria in order to be considered for presentation:
Should not exceed 250 words
Should relate to the topic of surgery (could be research project, audit, case presentation)
Abstract should be formatted with a Title, Aim/Background, Method, Results, and Conclusions (not included in final word count)
Should confirm that at least one author will register in full to attend and present poster at the Conference if abstract is accepted
